  • At Your Best Colors, we use the 12-Tone Color Analysis System to uncover the shades that enhance your natural beauty. This method places each individual into one of twelve seasonal palettes based on their unique combination of skin tone, eye color, and hair color. The twelve seasons are organized into four main families—Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn—with three refined subcategories within each, creating a highly customized color experience.

  • Absolutely not! Color analysis is for everyone. We welcome clients of all genders and love helping each individual discover the colors that bring out their natural beauty and confidence.

  • Wear something comfortable—an off-white or white top is ideal. Neutral clothing helps minimize distractions and allows us to accurately assess how different colors interact with your natural complexion.

    Please come with little to no makeup. If needed, you are welcome to remove your makeup upon arrival. During the analysis, we will also cover your hair with an off-white drape or scarf so we can focus solely on how the test colors affect your skin.

    To ensure the most accurate results, please avoid wearing strong perfumes, colored contact lenses, and self-tanning products. If you've had a spray tan within the past week, we recommend waiting until it has fully faded before your appointment (recent natural sun exposure is perfectly fine).

    If you wear glasses, you may be asked to remove them periodically during the session, so feel free to wear clear contact lenses if you have them.

  • Your color season is lifelong. Your skin's undertone—the underlying warmth or coolness of your complexion—does not change, which means your seasonal palette will remain the same throughout your life.

    However, as we age, changes in our overtone (the surface coloring of the skin), hair color, and overall contrast level can occur. Because of this, you may find that you gravitate toward softer or less intense shades within your palette over time, especially if your hair turns gray.

    While your season stays the same, the way you wear and style your colors may evolve with you.

  • Yes! We offer virtual color analysis sessions, allowing you to discover Your Best Colors from anywhere in the world—all from the comfort of your own home.

    You'll receive detailed instructions on how to take and submit your photos to ensure the most accurate results. Once your photos have been received, your personalized color analysis report will be delivered within 3 business days.

    Our virtual analysis process is designed to provide the same personalized, high-quality experience and accurate results as an in-person session.
